No Eid congregation at Sholakia this year also

There will be no Eid congregation at Sholakia in Kishoreganj this year because of coronavirus pandemic. It was supposed to be the 194th Jamaat of Eid-ul-Adha.

The authorities concerned have suspended the Eid-ul-Adha Jamaat (congregation) at the historic Sholakia Eidgah Maidan in Kishoreganj this year due to the pandemic, Kishoreganj district administration sources said.

The Religious Affairs Ministry has requested people to offer Eid-ul-Adha prayer at nearest mosques in locality instead of going to Eidgah or open spaces.

The Eid Jamaat on the historic Sholakia Eidgah Maidan was suspended for the second in the history last year due to the outbreak of coronavirus since 1828.
